Applied Image, Inc. actively participated in as a canvasee for the 2013 update to the ANSI/NIST-ITL 1-2011 Standard. Our contributions strengthened and clarified the standard by suggesting quantifiable metrics with which to specify image quality of mugshots. The standard is 571 pages in length and contains all the necessary data format specifications for fingerprinting, iris scans, facial images and other biometric information. The attached document details sections of the NIST standard that can be evaluated using the ImagingGauge system.
